Hi, guys. Élder Montgomery here. We were unable to go to the temple today because a water pipe burst. It was very sad, but I guess now I have an actual pday. 🙃
Our classes have been great. I enjoy learning about the gospel and how to teach it, as well as getting to grow closer to the other missionaries in my district.
On Thursday, we started having our classes all in Spanish. From now on, we won't be speaking English in any of them, except for... our actual Spanish class.
I think some people in my district have a problem with me eating bananas? I can't imagine why they might...
Uh, anyways, I've pretty much got monkeys for roommates(sorry guys). They've made and signed a contract that if someone says a swear word, or uses certain words as insults, they get punched by three other guys. I uh, also signed it. I guess you could say it was founded on good motives; It does kinda keep them from saying no no words.(I'm 90% sure they just made it cause they wanted an excuse to punch each other.) But they're cool guys regardless, we've been able to have some discussions where the spirit was very strong.
(I think I also saw a picture of one of them wrapped in toilet paper like a mummy?! There was one full day without tp in our bathroom.) Love you, elders.
I can see how much stronger my testimony has grown in the small time I've been here, and I think I would owe that to how much time I get to spend in the Book of Mormon every day. I love the Book of Mormon, and I know that if we read sincerely every day, our faith and knowledge will increase, and we will feel closer to our Heavenly Father.
