Heyyy, what's up??
We worked super hard this week but had probably the lowest numbers and least success of my mission, hahaha.
My companion is very weird, but also very driven and hardworking, which is good. I can handle weird at certain levels. He really likes basketball, which I had not expected from a Mexican.
One of the newer American elders in my district is getting a litte frustrated with his companion from Argentina, mostly because of the language barrier and giving bad directions while driving, so we've been doing a fair amount of exchanges with them. The American elder is a great person and has strong desires to serve, so he's awesome. I'm glad I can give him a break from what is frustrating him. 😂
A talk that called my attention recently is "O Youth of the Noble Birthright" by Brad Wilcox in the 2024 October conference.
I like the scripture he shares from 2 Nephi 2:6, and what he teaches us about Christ's character: "Because He is full of truth, He sees you as you really are—flaws, weaknesses, regrets, and all. Because He is full of grace, He sees you as you really can be. He meets you where you are and helps you repent and improve, overcome and become."
On the mission, it's very easy to see my own flaws and weaknesses. I think God made it that way so it would be easy to understand how much I really rely on Him in everything I do.
