Getting Ready…

Eric will be a missionary before we know it!
We just have a few more things to do to get ready.
One thing we checked off the list today was suit shopping!
First we had a lunch date at Culver’s (talked to Matt on the way there!).

Later we went to Kohl’s.
Thankfully their smallest size men’s suit fit Eric pretty well. There’s a little room if he puts on some lbs from all of those pot roast dinners in Utah!

He tried on the light gray one first.

Then the dark blue one.

And a darker gray one. We went with the two dark ones.

He’s so dang handsome…..

But all I can think of when I look at those pictures are these pictures from when he was two. 😭💔

All About Eric

Grandma did a FHE lesson Sunday night that included a matching game all about Eric. It was pretty cute.

The evening also included a drink getting spilled, so Eric was handed baby Etta while Preston helped clean it up.

The evening ended with cupcakes and singing Happy 1st Birthday to Maverick!

Getting the Melchizedek Priesthood

Eric was ordained an Elder at church today! One step closer to being ready for his mission. Having only a month between turning 18 and the start of the mission makes for quite a busy schedule!

Michael ordained him, with Grandpa Mark, Uncle Bobby, and Uncle Preston participating. Brother Geoff Huguely from the stake high council (and who was Eric’s boss when he worked at Panic Point), and the counselors from our bishopric, Brother Hill and Brother Fisher, were also there. Bishop Van Valkenberg was out of town though.

Me and Grace, Juju and Callin and Maverick, and Grandma Cindy were all in the room too.

Lots of wonderful people there to support our Eric!
