So...
I'm a missionary now...
Pretty great, huh?
In Home MTC this week, I've been learning TONS about what it means to be a missionary, as you might assume. I had gotten a new notebook before starting, and I've already filled probably two fifths of it. I'm already excited and anxious to preach the word of God, and bring others to Christ by means of the Spirit!
Aprender Español:
Our teachers are doing a fantastic job of giving us truckloads of information at once! We are now offering 100% of our prayers as a district in Spanish! (But don't ask me to do that.) I know that it is only by the power of the Spirit and "El Don de Lenguas" that we are able to retain what we're being taught. I love that when we are trying our hardest to accomplish what God has commanded us, He will multiply our efforts and abilities allowing us to reach far beyond what we can do alone.
I have by the wisdom of God been assigned a super cool companion for MTC. It was tough at first, but as we've become more comfortable, we've been able to testify together of the power of Christ's Atonement and the eternal truths in The Book of Mormon, among other things. The Spirit was very present in those... uh, Zoom calls. Just wait until we're in the same room!😎😎
I'm very young, and I continue to amaze people with my lack of life experience. But, I know that as I strive to serve the Lord and His children and magnify my calling in the priesthood, that God will make my experience enough to minister to the specific needs of His people. The Spirit whispers this to me and tells me it is true. (And tells me it is true🎶)
Con mucho amor, su misionario, Élder Montgomery
(It's past midnight in NC, but thanks to my MTC schedule, I'm currently living by Utah time! Muahaha![It's super annoying.])
