70 is kind of a crazy milestone 😬
We've had kind of an uneventful week. We did have a lesson with a kid who's been investigating for a long time and his family. It was my first time meeting them, but the members that came with us told me the parents usually don't join the lessons and aren't very open. So that was cool. Hopefully they can keep showing more interest.
We had 3 people that aren't progressing/can't or don't want to be baptized attend church this week. Just a fun fact, I guess.
Something odd that happened this week; I met the returned missionary who trained an elder who grew up in my home ward. They served together in the Ivory Coast.
We helped teach in the Aaronic Preisthood class. We talked a lot about Enoch and missionary work.
I like that Enoch was called to be prophet because he was humble; someone God could work with. But Enoch thought that he wasn't a good fit because he was young, inexperienced, and slow of speech. But, God doesn't choose perfect people. God perfects the people he chooses.
Because Enoch was humble and willing, he was able to do great things, and bring a whole city to become so righteous they were taken up to dwell with God! God can help us do anything if we put Him first.
